DESCRIPTION:The 2021 MIPS Self-Nomination Period Closes on September 1st\nThe Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) wants to remind you that the end of the 2021 Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Self-Nomination period is September 1\, 2020 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). The Self-Nomination Tool on the QPP website will lock at the deadline and additional edits will not be permitted. \nPlease ensure that your 2021 MIPS Self-Nomination Form is complete and click the Submit for Review button before the deadline in the Self-Nomination tool on the Quality Payment Program website. \nYou can only submit the Self-Nomination Form for review after all required fields are complete on each tab. Each tab has a Vertical Progress Indicator on the left side of the form that shows your progress. A green checkmark shows you’ve completed the tab\, and the Submit for Review button becomes enabled. Once you’ve selected the Submit for Review button\, the Vendor Landing page will list your self-nomination with the nomination status In Self-Nomination Review. \nFor Qualified Clinical Data Registries (QCDRs) submitting QCDR measures for review\, please complete and upload the 2021 QCDR Measure Submission Template before the Self-Nomination period closes on September 1\, 2020. If your 2021 QCDR Measure Submission Template has been pre-populated\, please do not modify the PIMMS Tracking ID and Measure ID fields to maintain accuracy. DESCRIPTION:Provider Relief Fund application deadline extended\n\nThe Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) reopened the Provider Relief Fund (PRF) General Distribution portal for certain providers and recently announced the deadline to apply has been extended to Sept. 13. The portal is reopened for providers who:\n\nDid not receive an initial payment that totals approximately 2 percent of their annual patient revenue;\nReceived an initial payment\, but missed the June 3 deadline to submit their revenue information for additional funds;\nWere ineligible for prior General Distribution funds due to a change in ownership and did not have Medicare fee-for-service revenue in 2019; or\nPreviously received Phase 1 General Distribution payment(s)\, but rejected and returned the funds and are now interested in reapplying.\n\nAdditionally\, HHS planned to release detailed instructions and a data collection template for PRF recipient reporting requirements on Aug. 17. However\, just days before\, HHS announced that this information would not be ready by that date but will “soon be made available.”
