COVID-19 Update from MediSYS

Update Regarding Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19):

MediSYS has been diligently watching and preparing to ensure that our business continuity plan allows us to continue to work for you in the weeks and months ahead.

Sometime ago, MediSYS implemented technologies necessary for our staff to continue to provide remote support and assistance to our clients. Despite the recent Coronavirus events, MediSYS remains fully operational and will continue to provide the excellent service and support that our clients have come to expect.

Remote Work – Many of our employees are already working remotely to assist clients and you will continue to contact them the same way you always have. This includes our support and billing services departments.

Telemedicine – Many have inquired about telemedicine options and BCBS has provided some good information on how this will impact offices. Blue Cross is closely monitoring the outbreak of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and will publish information and updates on this page. Bookmark AlabamaBlue.com/providers/coronavirus for easy access to this page.

Today CMS also expanded Medicare telehealth coverage that will enable beneficiaries to receive a wider range of healthcare services from their doctors without having to travel to a healthcare facility. Beginning on March 6, 2020, Medicare—administered by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)—will temporarily pay clinicians to provide telehealth services for beneficiaries residing across the entire country.
