CMS will open the CY 2024 Doctors and Clinicians Preview Period on May 13, 2026, giving providers an opportunity to review their Quality Payment Program (QPP) performance information before it becomes publicly available on Medicare.gov and the Provider Data Catalog.
During the preview period, clinicians and groups can securely access and review their reported performance data through the QPP website to verify accuracy and prepare for upcoming public reporting. This early review period is an important opportunity for organizations to identify potential concerns before the information is displayed on clinician and group profile pages within Medicare’s compare tools.
CMS notes that Accountable Care Organization (ACO)-level data will not be available through the QPP preview portal. However, MIPS eligible clinicians participating in Medicare Shared Savings Program ACOs can still review their information through CY 2024 MIPS Performance Feedback reports, while ACOs may reference their previously issued Quality Performance Reports.
Additional educational resources and public reporting details will be released through the Care Compare: Doctors and Clinicians Initiative webpage and the QPP Resource Library once the preview period begins.
Providers should also ensure they have appropriate HARP credentials and QPP website access ahead of the review window. The preview period closes June 11, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET.
