BCBS of AL Telehealth and Remote Access Telemedicine Policy Available

Effective February 1, 2022, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama is implementing the Telehealth and Remote Access Telemedicine policy. Telehealth and telemedicine are not used synonymously in this policy and have unique requirements and conditions. BCBS of AL encourages providers to review this policy and the Telehealth and Remote Access Telemedicine webpage on ProviderAccess for additional information.

HHS has extended the Public Health Emergency for another 90-days

The Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has extended the Public Health Emergency PHE extended another 90 days due to the COVID -19 pandemic.
