Attention Medicaid providers:
For program year 2015, CMS has stated that Medicaid EPs no longer have to attest to Meaningful Use on or before the end date for the CMS Medicare attestation period, which was 3/11/16, in order to avoid 2016 or 2017 Medicare payment adjustments.
Medicaid EPs may wait until their respective Medicaid States can accept attestations, and then attest to Medicaid MU for PY 2015 through their Medicaid State EHR Incentive program. Alabama Medicaid does not have a set date for attestation at this time. According to their website, they hope to have this available starting in June 2016.

If you have at least a 30% Medicaid patient volume (20% for Pediatricians) you may qualify to receive a Medicaid incentive amount!
2016 is the LAST YEAR TO BEGIN for Medicaid Incentives! NOTE: There is no Medicaid penalty, however if you see Medicare patients you will be subject to a Medicare penalty unless you attest to Meaningful Use!
Total possible incentive is up to $63,750 over 6 years. The first year you may earn up to $21,250 if you Adopt/Implement/Upgrade or attest to Meaningful Use.
