Montgomery, AL – MedConnect, Inc., in conjunction with Baptist Health, has announced the incorporation of a new interface into MediSYS EHR – MedConnect v2.3 electronic health record product suite.
The new interface electronically transmits laboratory orders in real-time for providers and other healthcare professionals using the MediSYS EHR – MedConnect v2.3 platform. It eliminates the need to manually fill out paper order requisitions, and significantly improves the ability to track submitted orders within the EHR application.
Electronic results of transmitted orders are automatically routed to the healthcare provider for review, with seamless integration into the MediSYS EHR – MedConnect v2.3 2014 Edition, an ASP model EHR system certified by the ONC-ACB. Providers should be able to begin using the new orders interface by the end of April 2015. In addition, MedConnect and Baptist are working to extend the interface to eventually allow electronic orders for radiology services in the near future.
